Need a last minute gift giving idea? I am a huge supporter of local businesses. If I have the option, I try to buy local. I find that the products are usually better, the customer services is usually great and I am helping infuse more money into the local economy. There are a lot of great independent stores in Cambridge. Some of the last minute gifts I purchased was a gift card to Monigram Coffee Roasters for one of the coffee lovers on my list. It's local and the coffee...and atmosphere...is so much better than Starbucks. I alos picked up a $10 'girl' gift from Blair House Gifts which is no located on Grand Ave. They had lots of inexpensive items that were super cute such as scarves, hats, and Christmas decorations. Southworks is also a great place for unique gifts. Keith and I bought Ugly Christmas sweaters from the Nostalgia store. While there we noticed they had items from A Christmas Story and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. There are also great dining options in Cambridge, so why not give someone the gift of a night out? Places such as Monty's on Queen, Cafe 13, and Homage are great places that the people on your list are sure to enjoy. Happy Shopping!
