FRIDAY JUNE 12, 2015

The Brush Off

It's finally coming to Cambridge!  Come watch as 12 Cambridge artists will compete in 2 rounds of an exciting, but friendly, live-painting competition. Your votes determine who wins each round with up to four winners advancing to the final competition at THEMUSEUM in Kitchener, Saturday, January 23, 2016.  Bid on your favourite painting and bring home a piece of art this night! Cash bar and refreshments available. Tickets are $16.95 (including HST) and available at Queen’s Square or by calling 519.621.0460.

Grand Slam Festival

If you love baseball then this is for you! Come join a one-day all-day baseball party complete with live concerts!   The Reklaws will be performing and to end the night there will be a fireworks demonstration. There will also be fun contests including a Seed Spitting Contest, and Best Amateur Slider Burger Contest.  You'll also be able to meet the 2-Time World Series winning pitcher Duane Ward from the Toronto Blue Jays.

Portugal Day Parade

In celebration of Portugal Day come on out tot he Portugal Day Parade.  The parade starts at the Galt Arena and heads down town (Kerr to Wellington to Parkhill to Grand Ave).  There will be a lunch after the parade and a fun-filled afternoon including singers, dancers and big screens with Portugal's first soccer game of the Euro cup broadcasted.  In the evening you'll be treated to the band Starlight!

World Wide Knit in Public Day

Grab your yarn and needles and join Idea Exchange for Knit in Public Day!  They are trying to gather as many knitters as they can all knitting at once in their front lobby.  If you don't knit, no problem!  You can check out some of the knitting demonstrations!

A family program kicks off the event with music, a yarn inspired craft, and a visit by author Andrew Colb as he presents his first children’s picture book Edmund Unravels. The book will be available for purchase and signing, and free refreshments will be provided.

SUNDAY JUNE 14, 2015

Tour De Grand

It may be too late to sign up as a cyclist, however you can still watch as cyclists from all over Ontario and Quebec come and ride on various routes through Cambridge.
